The Dermisa Brightening Bar is a vegetable-based cleanser utilizing a dual-action botanical approach to target surface hyperpigmentation. It combines Kojic Acid, a tyrosinase inhibitor, with Licorice Root (glabridin) to condition the skin and manage melanin production. The Sodium Palmate/Cocoate base provides a traditional deep clean, while glycerin helps to maintain surface moisture during the brightening process.
Because brightening actives can increase sun sensitivity, evening use or rigorous SPF 30+ application during the day is advised. To prevent the sensation of "cleanser burn," the lather should not be left on the skin for more than 60 seconds. Following treatment with a lipid-restoring barrier cream is recommended to lock in hydration and protect the stratum corneum from the alkaline effects of the bar.
